Sapphire Cup 2024 Round 5 Draw Announced
Round 5 of Football NSW’s 2024 Sapphire Cup draw was announced on Friday.
Four matches will take place with one round 4 game still to be played; Gladesville Ravens facing the Macarthur Rams to complete the draw with the winners of each match taking on each other in Round 5.
The success story has been Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) side Coogee United who have made it this far – the proud ESFA club hopes to spring a surprise when they tackle NPL Women’s NSW outfit NWS Spirit FC.
League One Women’s high-flyers are also hoping to create a bit of history of their own hoping to progress further into the tournament as they entertain NPL Women’s NSW side Sydney University while 2023 inaugural Sapphire Cup Champions APIA Leichhardt will meet rivals Sydney Olympic for a spot in this year’s semi-finals.
Both semi-finals will be shown live and exclusive only on Football NSW’s YouTube Channel.
Overall, the excitement, drama and quality has been there to be seen by all thus far as the Sapphire Cup continues to shine on the state stage.
