Renee Krstanvoska plays football full of passion and the veteran shot stopper hopes to bring a title to Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC on Sunday afternoon.

She has fallen back in love with the game since joining the Rangers in 2023 and is full of praise for their approach to women’s football.

“They [Mt Druitt] really value their women’s program compared to some other teams I have been involved in previously.

“This season has made me fall in love with the game again. I have gone to every session, gone back to the gym and this club has become like home.”

That passion has helped the Rangers have an incredible season and become eligible for promotion to NPL NSW Women’s next season.

Krstanovska is full of praise for the team around her including striker Leena Khamis who she was initially frightened of.

“I played against Leena back in NPL NSW Women’s and she scared me but since she’s joined she’s become one of my best friends and I have learnt so much from her.”

While Khamis is the fearless leader for the Rangers, Krstanovska also highlighted the defence in front of her with their work.

“We have done so well from the young girls who stepped up to 20s then Emily Kos and Caitlin Campbell joining which has seen us overpowering teams.

“I think we have the best backline in the League One Women’s competition, and I think we’ll compete well next season in NPL NSW Women’s.”

Two results which stick out for Krstanovska has been both the 3-0 semi-final win against Bankstown and the earlier 2-1 success which set them on the path.

Krstanovska saved a penalty in the semi-final win and she has been putting in the work to study her opponents.

“I did some study on Aya Seino’s penalties on Saturday and was confident. I used to just pick a side and stick with it but I have grown my football intelligence since joining the Rangers.”

The coaches at Rangers have helped that and Krstanovska credits them for not overloading the side with information.

“They put their heart and soul into their work with us. They give us enough and mostly give us the reigns then just guide us.”

It is one big family at the Rangers with everyone celebrating and socializing together which has led to their success.

That is also why Krstanovska is determined to bring the title back to Popondetta Park on Sunday afternoon.

“Bringing a title to Rangers would be incredible, their growth has been amazing and as I get older I appreciate every win a little more.

“I am keen to have a crack at NPLNSW Women’s again and I think I have more good years left in me.”

Krstanovska is the ‘Chief Vibes Officer’ for the Rangers and will have them pumped up for the Grand Final.

“I will send a video to the chat to get the girls up on Sunday and I think if we play our game and have fun, we should get the result.

“Ultimately it is a 90 minute game but we’re hungry for the win after missing out on the Premiership so two out of three won’t be bad.”
