Football NSW representatives selected for National Referee Academy

Four Football NSW referees have been selected for the second intake of the Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA).

Football NSW match officials Charlotte Flynn (Football South Coast Referees), Mia Velarde (Manly Warringah Football Referees Association), Eric Saba (North West Sydney Football Referees Association) and Alessandro Llana (Manly Warringah Football Referees Association) have been selected for the 2025 intake, following in the footsteps of recent program graduates Molly Godsell and Alexis Johnson (both Nepean Referees Group).

All four are members of the Football NSW Referees Branch and graduates of the Football NSW Referee Academy.

The FARA Class of 2025 comprises of thirteen match officials representing five Member Federations, which will see these emerging referees or assistant referees each commence a two-year program featuring dedicated referee education, training and mentoring to provide greater individual support covering technical, physical, and mental aspects to underpin accelerated development.
