Football NSW ready for 2025 National Futsal Championships
This week 31 teams representing Football NSW Metro and Country will compete in the 2025 National Futsal Championships, hosted by Football Victoria at the State Netball and Hockey Centre, Parkville, Victoria from 8 – 12 January 2025.
The five-day event will see up to 13 age divisions across female and male categories, inclusive of a mixed AWD division.
This event is a major part of an ongoing commitment from Football NSW to fostering futsal talent and providing clear pathways for player and referee development. A special highlight this year is the continued growth of Women’s and Girls’ participation, with teams increasing from 10 to 13 across all age groups.
“I’m really looking forward to this event, Football NSW has faced challenges in the past, but we’re always determined to be competitive,” said Jordan Guerreiro, Football NSW Futsal Manager.
“We aim to support our players and coaches in creating not just a competitive environment but also a positive and enjoyable experience.
“Growing up, playing in the NFC gave me so many great memories, and I’m proud to provide the next generation with the same opportunity.”
Football NSW is also proud to have 34 referees selected to officiate the tournament. They will be supported by five referee coaches, Chris Codling, Paul Jones, Adrian Tamplin, Ryan Shepheard and Richard McGuinness. Local referee Adrian Tamplin has also been selected as lead referees instructor for the tournament.
All 270 matches of the tournament will be streamed on KommunityTV. Click here for more information.
