Football South Coast ready for huge 2025 season

With registrations in full swing, Football South Coast are looking forward to an even bigger year following a successful 2024 season.
The Association led by Chief Executive Officer Ann-Marie Balliana, have set out a number of key objectives especially in the female space as Football South Coast look set to eclipse its 2024 numbers.
“It was a solid 2024 season as we experienced significant growth across all our competitions with total registered players reaching 14,500 with approximately 70 new female only teams,” said Balliana.
“This was down to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup effect and supported by the many programs we ran as an association to encourage participation as well as the fantastic work of our clubs to support all new and returning registered players.
“This season is shaping up to be another great year. With the Socceroos and Matildas continuing to inspire the nation, and the AFC Asian Cup to be played in Australia in 2026, we continue to develop our own local competitions.
“In 2025 we are introducing a women’s over 40s competition after seeing such a significant growth in the over 30’s competition in 2024.
“Following on from the continuation of female only teams across all age groups, the Women’s Premier League is expanding with new teams, and we have revised our Men’s Community competitions as part of recent strategic reviews.
“We are also looking to revamp our junior development programs with offerings for new players to introduce them to the game, as well as those with a bit more experience, seeking to further enhance their skills.
“In 2025, there will be competition for everybody regardless of age or ability and we look forward to the return of 2024 players as well as new players looking to be part of our beautiful game.”
