Football NSW registrations continue to soar

The demand for football continues to grow with Football NSW community registrations soaring past 200,000, remaining on track to surpass 2024’s record numbers.
Junior registrations lead the way with more than 115,000 5–12-year-olds signed up with their local Clubs as the start of the winter football season grows near.
The continued growth follows a record 2024 season where player registrations grew 9%, headlined by female player growth of 17%.
“It’s pleasing to see the healthy number of juniors registering for the upcoming community football season,” said Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas.
“It’s equally great to once again see female participation at the forefront of our growth.
“Our club volunteers and Associations have done a tremendous job in overseeing registrations within their local communities and we’re looking forward to seeing the new season get underway in April.”
Registrations remain open across Football NSW’s boundaries and interested players are encouraged to sign-up or contact their local Club at your earliest convenience to avoid missing out.
