Join the 2025 Female Football Week celebrations

Football NSW will be celebrating women and girls in football from May 2 to 11 as part of Female Football Week (FFW).
Celebrated across the country, Female Football Week provides a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate all female participants who play a vital role in our game.
Football NSW is encouraging Clubs and Associations to nominate local Female Football Champions as well as registering your 2025 Female Football Week events.

Following a record number of community FFW events held in 2024, Football NSW’s Head of Women’s and Schools Football, Hayley Todd, was excited to keep the momentum going.
“As we reflect on the incredible growth of female football, it’s clear that the passion and commitment of female players, coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers are reshaping the landscape of the sport,” said Todd.
“Celebrating the role of women and girls in football is not just about acknowledging achievements on and off the pitch; it’s about inspiring future generations to continue breaking barriers. Together, we are not just changing the game; we are redefining it.”
The growth of female football across all areas has been significant with 2024’s record registrations spanning across all participant types.
A 17% increase in female player registrations was complemented by an incredible 36% growth in female coaches, 16% across referees and 15% for volunteers.
