Arncliffe Park was met with celebratory scenes on Wednesday evening as Football St George side Arncliffe Aurora knocked out National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW outfit Mt Druitt Town Rangers from the Australia Cup following a memorable 2-1 victory in one of the upsets of the history of the prestigious tournament.

Mohamed Farhat scored midway through the first half as the Association side pushed for an upset early on, but the Rangers replied early in the second stanza when John Azar converted from the sport.

Aurora kept pushing and scored what ended up being the match winner in the 55th minute via their inspirational number 10 Bilal Chahine and held on from there to advance to round 5 of the knockout cup competition.
