Football NSW Celebrates 2025 National Volunteer Week

Football NSW has celebrated the amazing support our football family receives from our hard-working volunteers who constantly dedicate their time in ensuring our game continues in line with National Volunteer Week kicking off today.
Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers, the week will showcase the celebration of the important role volunteers play in the wider football community that makes our sport so special.
For without our incredible and devoted volunteers there quite simply is no game at all.
From coaches, referees, administrators, team managers and volunteers keeping canteens running as well as marking football fields and so much more, these superstars are our Champions.
Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas honoured our respected volunteer stars who truly are the legends of our code.
“National Volunteer Week is a chance for us all to celebrate change-makers and say thank you for the vital work the thousands of dedicated volunteers, committed administrators, and mums and dads do for our sport.
“Our volunteers are quite simply the lifeblood of our game – the grassroots appeal of our game would not be what it is today without their dedication for the sport and commitment to their beloved local club and community”.
Volunteering Australia have continued its promotion on volunteers spruiking their theme in 2025, ‘Connecting Communities’.
National Volunteer Week 2025 celebrates the power of volunteering and bringing people together with the theme ‘Connecting Communities’.
Volunteering creates lasting relationships that enrich lives and strengthen communities.
Football NSW acknowledges the spirit of connection and the incredible impact volunteers have in building thriving and inclusive communities.
Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for Football NSW Volunteer Spotlights which will be present across all our social media channels throughout the week.
