2025 Sapphire Cup Round 5 Draw Announced
Round 5 of Football NSW’s 2025 Sapphire Cup draw was announced on Friday, with the reigning NPL Women’s NSW Premiers and Champions set to take on association opposition.
Northern Suburbs Football Association’s Lindfield FC will face Eastern Suburbs Football Association’s Coogee United on Wednesday 28th of May at Primula Oval in the final match of Round 4, with the winner to host current National Premier Leagues Women’s title holders Macarthur Rams. Either of these two teams will be flying the flag for the associations with the hope of claiming a huge scalp in round 5.
It will be a battle of the NPL Women’s NSW clubs in the other ties as Sydney University SFC host current high flyers Mt Druitt Town Rangers, Western Sydney Wanderers taking on UNSW FC and a mouth-watering clash seeing APIA Leichhardt FC go head-to-head with the Northern Tigers.
Winners of each of these matches will qualify for this year’s Sapphire Cup Semi-Finals which will be shown live and exclusive only on Football NSW’s YouTube channel.
Overall, the excitement, drama and quality has been there to be seen by all so far as the Sapphire Cup continues to shine on the state stage.
