Football NSW Referees Selected for Emerging Matildas and Socceroos Championships
Football NSW is proud to announce the match officials who will be attending the Emerging Matildas and Emerging Socceroos Championships in July 2025.
The Emerging Socceroos Championships will take place at the Home of the Matildas at La Trobe University in Melbourne for the Under 15 and 16 Boys from 6 – 11 July 2025. The Emerging Matildas Championships will occur at Valentine Sports Park in Sydney for the Under 15 and 16 Girls from 15 – 20 July 2025.
In the lead up to the tournaments the referees will attend a number of education sessions run by Football Australia, as well as complete video and theory content to calibrate their decision making ahead of their games.
Football NSW representatives Maggie Price and Nick Young will be attending the Emerging Matildas Championships as coaches, while Chris Young has been selected as a coach for the Emerging Socceroos Championships. Lucy Hungerford (dual registered with Northern NSW) has also been selected for the Emerging Socceroos Championships as a match official.
