Valentine Sports Park to host 2025 Sapphire Cup Final

NSW’s prestigious women’s knockout competition the Sapphire Cup will take centre stage at Valentine Sports Park on Thursday 17th of July as APIA Leichhardt FC tackle the Mt Druitt Town Rangers in what is set to be an epic encounter between two quality outfits.

Both National Premier Leagues Women’s NSW clubs will feature several former and current A-League Women’s stars including Sally James, Sophie Hoban, Claudia Cicco, Natasha Prior, Jessica Seaman, Ashlee Brodigan, Jordan Jasnos, Charlotte Lancaster Leena Khamis, Ena Harada and Ella Buchanan to name a few as well as rising youngsters hoping to make their mark in the state’s premier female cup competition.

What makes this year’s Sapphire Cup instalment that extra special is that it will take place during the Emerging Matildas Championships that will be hosted at the Home of Football in NSW.

Twenty-six state teams from across Australia in the Under 15’s and Under 16’s age group will be in action from the 15th to the 20th of July at Valentine Sports Park.

The cream of the crop for female football will be on hand to witness a blockbuster encounter as APIA Leichhardt go in search for their second ever Sapphire Cup while the Rangers hope to spoil the party by clinching its first ever with kick-off set for 7pm.

The match will also be streamed live and exclusive only on Football NSW’s YouTube Channel with Nikola Pozder and Will Konstantinidis calling the match.
