Nine Ad Manager Association of the Year Award

The inaugural Football NSW Association of the Year Award will be presented at the Football NSW State Dinner on Saturday, October 25th alongside our State Awards, Future Leader Award, Fair Play Award, and the prestigious George Churchward Medal.

The Association of the Year Award proudly sponsored by Nine Ad Manager will be presented to a Football NSW Association that has demonstrated exceptional leadership to football in their Region and in the State.

The recipient will be an Association that actively supports and empowers its clubs to enhance the football experience for players, coaches, referees, and volunteers. It will also be one that collaborates constructively with Football NSW and fellow Associations to promote the long- term interests and integrity of the game.

The Nine Ad Manager Association of the Year will have has demonstrated excellence or innovation in improving the delivery of Football within their Region. This may include, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Innovative delivery of football
  • Club support and development
  • Volunteer support and recognition
  • Player, Coach or Referee education and development
  • Excellence in governance
  • Creation of a positive environment for all
  • Focus on long term viability and success
  • Outstanding advocacy and community engagement
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion (e.g. women and girls, CALD communities, etc.)
  • Collaboration and partnership development (e.g. with local Councils, schools, sponsors, community organisations, etc.)

2025 will also see the introduction of the  Nine Ad Manager Community Club of the Year Award presented to a Football NSW Community Club affiliated to and participating in a Football NSW Association’s competition that has demonstrated leadership to elevate the profile of football in their Region.

The recipient will be a Club that works collaboratively with its Association to drive excellence and growth in grassroots participation.

The Nine Ad Manager Community Club of the Year has demonstrated excellence or innovation that has improved the delivery of Football in areas that may include:

  • Is a Club Changer Club
  • Commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
  • Volunteer support and recognition
  • Player, Coach or Referee education and development, including engagement with Association and State pathway programs
  • Excellence in governance
  • Creation of a positive environment for all
  • Outstanding advocacy and community engagement
  • Outstanding performance in competition

Each Association will be able to nominate one Community Club to be considered for the Nine Ad Manager Community Club of the Year, identifying the clubs within their own footprint which have excelled in the 2025 season. All Associations will be provided with nomination forms in the coming weeks, but are encouraged to start compiling information for nominations now. Community Clubs are encouraged to reach out to their Association if they wish to be considered for the inaugural Community Club of the Year.

The winners of the Nine Ad Manager Association of the Year and Nine Ad Manager Club of the Year will receive a complimentary campaign through the Nine Ad Manager Platform valued at $2000AUD, while the two runners up in each category will receive a $1000AUD complimentary campaign.
