Football NSW is happy to announce that it has partnered with Sportsfield turf and drainage experts Green Horticultural Group (GHG) as a Preferred Supplier.

Founded in 1998 by turf experts Geoff and Sally Green, GHG won its first major contract growing turf for Sydney’s Olympic Park.

The business has since developed into Sportsfield turf and drainage experts, committed to building and renovating turf-based pitches that enable the highest quality football, with increased player hours due to improved drainage and durability but also the player safety of a natural turf pitch.

GHG works with local government, schools, universities, sporting associations and clubs across the greater Sydney region and regional NSW.

Some recent projects include sportsfield construction and drainage at Stringer Rd fields in North Kellyville and the Tahmoor Sports Ground, renovation and drainage at The Crest football fields in Georges Hall and upcoming drainage works for Valentine Sports Park Fields 4 and 5 which are fields that GHG initially constructed.

Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas expressed his excitement with the new partnership.

“We are proud to welcome Green Horticultural Group as a Preferred Supplier to Football NSW,” said Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas.

“Their expertise in turf and drainage solutions will play a key role in supporting our commitment to high-quality playing surfaces across the state.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to improving football infrastructure for the benefit of all participants.”

While GHG General Manager Pete McKinney was happy to be linking up with the sport’s major football sporting body in NSW.

“We are delighted to become Preferred Suppliers of Football NSW and to get the opportunity to use our expertise to educate, inspire and support associations and clubs on what should and can be done to improve the playability and availability of your fields.”
