2025 Grand Final Preview – League One Women’s
The Football NSW League One Women’s season concludes in a fantastic Grand Final contest this Sunday night at Valentine Sports Park.
Newly crowned Premiers Hills United FC are looking to add to its trophy cabinet this year while second place SD Raiders FC try to earn themselves some silverware to round off their stellar season.
So, we’re set up for a fitting finale to round off the year.
Let’s get onto the preview!
Grand Final: Hills United FC vs SD Raiders FC, Sunday 7 September, 6:15pm, Valentine Sports Park
Hills United FC will take on SD Raiders FC in the League One Women’s decider at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday night.
The Premiers beat Marconi Stallions FC 2-1 in their semi-final clash on last Sunday night to enter the big dance.
Hills United FC hope to complete a treble as their sign-off from the League One Women’s competition.
Captain Aisling Davidson returned Sunday night and gives Hills United FC some extra steel in their defence.
Up front, Gemma Woolley scored the second goal and will lead the line for Hills United FC in the absence of top scorer Isabella Sciberras.
If a moment of magic is needed for the Premiers, Elin Rosenberg Cemazar might create it and add to her 14 goals for the season.
Rachel Glendenning has deputised on the wing in the last month and her pace is something that the Premiers will use to their advantage.
Coach Alan Tasses has been at this stage many times and he hopes this time he can get over that final hump.
SD Raiders FC triumphed against Central Coast Mariners FC 3-2 after extra time in a pulsating contest last weekend.
The front three for SD Raiders FC have combined for 33 goals this season and will be hungry to find the back of the net on the big occasion.
Amanda Radmilo is a long-time servant of the club and her energy at the back helps keep them ticking over.
Coming into the side this season, Tenealle Hay has given them some grunt on the flanks alongside Abigail Boag.
Rojin Polat can unlock defences, and she might come on late to turn the contest in SD Raiders FC’s favour.
Both Madeliene Malone and Sharina Harris have the ability to shoot from distance which will keep the Hills United FC on their guard.
SD Raiders FC are the only side that haven’t lost to Hills United FC this season and will take that motivation into the Grand Final.
