The headline addition for APIA FC Futsal is Brazilian Gabriela Scariott who brings composure to a squad who moved on several stars from last season. One player staying on is the dependable Zoe Zaczek who partners with Angelina Foley as two consistent performers.

APIA FC Futsal also brought in Leila Braimah, Rayya Abdallah and Kaitlyn Smith who bring pace, versatility and reliability to the side for the upcoming campaign. APIA FC Futsal will be one of the sides to watch out for in the 2025 season.

Central Coast United FC:

Central Coast United Futsal Club are the new blood in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition, and they are ready make to impact in their first season. Their first appointment was bringing in the experienced Pete Edwards to coach the side.

He will have plenty of talent from across the Central Coast at his disposal for what shapes up to be an exciting first season for them. They have also signed Jess Garrett familiar to those watching the League One Women’s competition as their captain.

Garrett will be the focal point for the side who are excited to enter the futsal space and show their wares against some of the best teams in the state competition. Central Coast United Futsal Club look to be a side primed to make their mark in 2025.

Macarthur Quake Futsal Club:

There has been quite the overhaul for Macarthur Quake Futsal Club after a disappointing first season in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition. They have brought in some serious talent to shake up the league.

Goalkeeper Isabella Sollecito, Melina Manna, Jamaica Marshall and Alessia Perre all make the move over from their time at perennial contenders Sydney City Eagles. Joining them in purple is Emily Fenn from West City Crusaders who has a taste for goals.

Sophie Pacheco and Mia Dixon are the pair of survivors from the 2024 side and will add some grit to the side looking to move off the bottom of the ladder. Coaches Ben Baxer and Brett Jackson are tasked with that achievement.

Phoenix Futsal Club:

Last season was a rebuilding season for Phoenix Futsal Club and it set down some markers as they look to keep rising this campaign. Coach James Brunacci thinks his side can have a few surprises for teams in 2025.

Georgina Sarkissian, Gala Pavlovic and Sage Melhem were crucial parts of their rebirth last season and will feature once again for Phoenix Futsal Club alongside Harriet Johnson. They have also brought in Yasmene Placer and Keira Hastings to add experience to the team.

They have also rebuilt their goaltending tandem in the search for finals football which Brunacci is confident that can deliver. Phoenix Futsal Club might the dark horse to watch for the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition.

Raiders Futsal Club:

Raiders Futsal Club remain one of the consistent performers in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition and they will be eyeing off another top four finish headed into the 2025 campaign.

Custodian Jasmine Crouch will return between the sticks to make some crucial saves while Nicole Ossio and Rebecca Norman will pull the strings further up the pitch for Raiders Futsal Club.

They have added some new blood to the side including Tahlia Voskanian who has plenty of experience plus Amelia Savetta and Isabella La Malfa don the yellow jersey. Those signings plus their core should give them plenty of punch in the upcoming campaign.

SD Raiders Futsal:

SD Raiders Futsal fell one game short in their goal of a title in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition and return for another tilt at the top prize in 2025. Former West City Crusaders coach Jonathan Webb takes over on the bench to lead the team.

They have kept a majority of the team which helped guide them to a Grand Final appearance including goal scorers Isabella Sultan, Abigail Boag and livewire Taiana Almeida which should see them right near the top again.

SD Raiders Futsal have added former Quake player Angelique Lynch and Melina Visser to their already talented squad to give them further firepower. Courtney Franks goes between the sticks for the side and conductor Jessica Neville is another name to watch for the side this season.

South Coast Taipans:

South Coast Taipans head back into the Futsal Premier League 2 jungle after a single season in the top division but retain the nucleus of the side which helped them do the job before. Ashley Kotevski and keeper Caitlin Russell headline that group with some solid pedigree.

Coach Bobby Mazevski has brought in some good talent to furnish the side including Abi Jordan who has spent time at the club while Isabella Coleman comes into the Taipans squad with high regards as well.

Much like the Men’s side, they will also look to give the youth some chances to shine in 2025 as they look to keep up their standards. Recognisable names Sofia Kent, Zoe Anderson and Kathryn Mladineo are ready for a huge campaign.

West City Crusaders:

There has been a complete overhaul at West City Crusaders in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition and the coaching staff led by TD Matthew Wearne is excited for the upcoming campaign.

Their biggest coup has been bringing over Sheiden Jabour who has featured for Sydney City Eagles in previous seasons and is a known commodity in the FPL2 Open Women’s competition and will lead the side well.

Crusaders have also promoted Kitwarla Mkali to their senior squad after a terrific season in the youth ranks alongside some talented players in Holly Pender, Laura Treddinick and breakout star Charlotte Owen to furnish a side ready to move forward in 2025.
