Football NSW Pursue Remarkable 17th Straight National Para Football Title

Football NSW’s Para Football squad will be chasing history next month as they look to secure an extraordinary 17th consecutive National Para Football Championship title at the 2025 tournament, held at the Home of the Matildas in Bundoora, Victoria.

Running from Monday 8 December to Friday 12 December, the Sky Blues, coached by Pete Nowakowski, assisted by Adelaide Qassis, and managed by Ellie Kerr, have been working intensely in preparation for their latest title defence.

Alongside the pursuit of silverware, players will also be aiming to impress national selectors, with hopes of future opportunities in the CommBank ParaMatildas and CommBank Pararoos squads.

Standing between Football NSW and another championship will be strong sides from Football West, Football Victoria, Football Queensland, and Northern NSW Football, with each association fielding teams in the mixed-gender competition.

Teams arrive on Monday 8 December for training and recovery before the Group Stage kicks off on Tuesday 9 December. Each team will play one another across ten group-stage matches before finals places are locked in. The tournament concludes on Friday 12 December with the Bronze Medal Match followed by the Gold Medal decider.

The National Para Football Championships continue to serve as a cornerstone of Football Australia’s para football pathway, delivering high-quality match minutes, national visibility, and a competitive environment that fosters long-term athlete development.

Fixtures and broadcast details have also been confirmed, with every match streamed live and free on the Football Australia YouTube channel, complete with commentary—giving fans across the country the chance to watch Australia’s top para footballers in action as Football NSW push for yet another chapter in their remarkable legacy.
