Round 5 of the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s competition delivered another dramatic weekend of action, with several statement victories, the fall of previously unbeaten sides and goals flowing across the league.

The standout clash came in the Match of the Round where Nepean FC continued their remarkable start to the season, remaining the final unbeaten team in the competition after another impressive performance at home against Gladesville Ryde Magic.

Match of the Round: Nepean FC 4-1 Gladesville Ryde Magic

Nepean FC maintained their perfect start to the season, making it five wins from five matches with an impressive 4-1 comeback victory over Gladesville Ryde Magic.

Both sides began the match brightly, but it was the visitors who struck first in the 13th minute when Ryan French capitalised on a well-worked set piece to give the Magic an early lead. Nepean responded strongly and found their equaliser in the 21st minute after being awarded a penalty, with homegrown talent Toby Witjes calmly converting into the bottom corner for his fifth goal in as many matches to level the scores at half-time.

The second half began with chances at both ends, and Gladesville almost regained the lead if not for a strong save from Nepean goalkeeper Brendan Allen. The hosts continued to press forward and were rewarded again from the penalty spot in the 76th minute when Jett McFadden rifled his strike into the top corner to give Nepean the lead for the first time.

Momentum firmly on their side, Nepean extended their advantage in the 83rd minute when Alexander Purves produced a brilliant solo effort to make it 3-1. Just two minutes later, McFadden stepped up for a free kick and curled a superb strike around the wall and into the net to seal a convincing 4-1 win.

The result sees Nepean remain the only unbeaten side in the competition with a perfect five wins from five matches, while Gladesville suffered their third loss of the campaign.
