Football NSW Hosts Coach Education Tutor Training Program to Strengthen Local Coaching Capacity
Football NSW recently delivered its latest Coach Education Tutor Training Program, designed to build the capability of member associations to deliver grassroots coaching courses within their districts. The initiative equips locally identified candidates with the skills and accreditation needed to become Coach Education Tutors, helping associations take greater ownership of course delivery while aligning with national coaching standards.
Held at Valentine Sports Park, the program included workshops, mentoring, and guided course delivery, with a strong focus on learning theories and creating positive, learner-centred environments. By developing local tutors, Football NSW aims to enhance community coaching quality and create engaging experiences that keep more children involved in football.
The program represents a long-term commitment by Football NSW to support community coaches, providing tools and knowledge to deliver consistent, high-quality education while fostering positive player development.
Through this initiative, member associations can deliver MiniRoos and Foundation of Football courses locally, strengthening grassroots pathways and empowering communities to grow the game from the ground up.
