Round 9 Review – League Two Men’s
Round 9 of the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s season saw plenty of teams keep clean sheets, one team hold on late and another pick up all three points in stoppage time.
The Match of the Round this week saw just the second scoreless draw of the season occur in a tense match between Bankstown United FC and Central Coast United FC.

Match of the Round: Bankstown United FC 0-0 Central Coast United FC
The Match of the Round this week saw neither Bankstown United FC nor Central Coast United FC able to break the deadlock in what was a tight scoreless draw.
The first half was a tight affair, both teams looking to hold possession while also limiting chances for the opposing team, the match scoreless at half-time.
The second half followed the same pattern, with neither side able to create meaningful chances in the match.
Mitchell Cross made his return from injury for Bankstown in the 75th minute, returning after six weeks away.
Late in the match, Central Coast had a golden chance from close range, but the shot just went over the bar.
Bankstown had a similar chance late at the other end but also could not take it, the two teams settling for a 0-0 draw in this tight contest.
Bankstown earned a third-straight draw and went four head-to-head matches unbeaten against the Pirates, who went eight matches without a win.

Fraser Park FC 5-0 Nepean FC
Fraser Park FC had a perfect hat-trick hero in their five-star performance to take down Nepean FC, getting back into form and giving an eventual eight-man Nepean a third-straight loss.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Mason Fernandez, who placed a header into the back of the net.
Reuben Awaritefe joined in on the scoring just four minutes later when he poked the ball home from close range from a corner.
Fernandez was at the double in the 36th minute, finishing off a move down the right, sending the ball home with his left foot for a 3-0 Fraser Park lead at half-time.
Fernandez completed his perfect hat-trick in the 69th minute against a now-ten-man Nepean following the send-off of Marly Petrie in the 54th minute, Fernandez scoring with his right foot for a 4-0 Fraser Park lead.
Awaritefe scored with a header in the 75th minute to round off the match for Fraser Park, who ran out 5-0 winners against an eventual eight-man Nepean, with Jett McFadden and Mason Ingram sent off in the 82nd and 83rd minutes, respectively.

Hawkesbury City FC 2-3 Granville Rage
Granville Rage came from behind and held on late to secure a 3-2 away win over Hawkesbury City FC, beating Hawkesbury away from home for a fourth-straight year and going six matches unbeaten.
The Hawks opened the scoring off a Tate Croft cross to Marcus Dimitri in the 13th minute, but Granville hit back in the 29th minute through Anthony Gallo, who got on the end of an outside of the foot pass from Timothy Borg-Williams and volleyed the ball home to restore parity.
Granville added two more goals before half-time, Ante Tomic putting Granville in the lead in the 35th minute off a counterattack and Borg-Williams scoring in a one-on-one situation for a 3-1 Granville half-time lead.
The Hawks came out strong in the second half, captain Harry Drew returning from a 12-week injury to set up Vincent Dermilio to give the Hawks hope late.
In a match where the Hawks lost Dimitri to an apparent season-ending injury, they fell just short of a comeback, Granville running out 3-2 winners.

Mounties Wanderers FC 5-0 Gladesville Ryde Magic
Mounties continued their domination atop the ladder with an eighth win from nine matches this season following a 5-0 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic.
Nicholas Sullivan opened the scoring in the 4th minute and had a double within 17 minutes, Sullivan capitalising on Mounties’ early possession.
Kento Awano added Mounties’ third before the break in the 23rd minute, before Patrick Antelmi scored his 10th goal of the season in just nine matches to give the hosts their fourth.
Luke Raso rounded off the scoring for Mounties in the 88th minute to extend their lead atop the ladder to nine points this early in the season and give them a 5-0 home win.

Gladesville Ryde Magic 0
Parramatta FC 2-3 Inner West Hawks FC
A stoppage-time winner ensured Inner West Hawks FC came away from Melita Stadium with all three points against a ten-man Parramatta FC.
Marco Sama opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 29th minute for the hosts after a foul on Ethan Oliver, before the Hawks responded with two goals from Peter Phillips in the 35th minute and three minutes into stoppage time.
Parramatta got back level through Sama in the 63rd minute but were reduced to ten men in the 76th minute following the send-off of Mustafa Kardoli.
The hosts had two big chances to win late through Omer Gebril and Mahamed Osman but could not find the winner.
Inner West took advantage and Peter Yannopoulos came off the bench to score in stoppage time for a late 3-1 Hawks win.

Sydney University SFC 2-0 Camden Tigers FC
Sydney University SFC continued their strong form with a third win from their past four matches, their third win in a row with a clean sheet.
The students opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Daniel Barrett played a through ball to Elliott Breakspear, who finished for 1-0.
University doubled their lead in the 67th minute when Joseph Roddy scored the rebound after his initial shot was saved.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 0-2 South Coast Flame FC
South Coast Flame FC picked up another 2-0 win, this time away to Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC.
The Flame opened the scoring in the 38th minute through Jordan Roberts after a turnover in possession.
They added a second just after the break when Thomas Dunn finished at the far post.
