The inaugural 2026 Football NSW Deploy Association Championships continued to captivate players, coaches and supporters on Wednesday, with another action-packed day of football at Glen Willow Regional Sports Complex in Mudgee.

With semi-final places on the line, the intensity lifted across the Boys Under 13 and Under 14, and Girls Under 14 and Under 15 competitions as teams battled through a day full of excitement, drama and suspense in pursuit of a place on the final day of the Championships.

By the conclusion of Wednesday’s matches, attention had firmly turned to Thursday’s Finals Day, where the inaugural Deploy Association Champions will be crowned.

The first championship match to be locked in is the Girls Under 15 Final, with Manly Warringah Football Association set to face Central Coast Football at 9:30am after both sides produced impressive performances throughout the tournament.

Away from the action on the field, Football NSW continued its commitment to strengthening the grassroots game through several key initiatives.

On Tuesday evening, Football NSW hosted its Association Chair and CEO Function at Club Mudgee, bringing together Association Chairs and Chief Executive Officers from across the state to celebrate grassroots football in New South Wales while recognising the Associations participating in the inaugural Championships.

That same evening, Football NSW’s Technical Department delivered a successful Coaches Technical Workshop at Glen Willow Regional Sports Complex, with coaches invited to analyse the tournament, receive ongoing coach education and support, while also discussing player talent identification throughout the Championships.

On Wednesday, Football NSW also hosted a popular MiniRoos Clinic, welcoming local and visiting players aged Under 6 to Under 11. Held on the fields beyond Fields 3 and 4, the activation provided young footballers with the opportunity to enjoy a fun gala day format while experiencing the excitement surrounding the Championships.

Thursday’s Finals Day will conclude with the official Closing Ceremony, where Football NSW will present awards across each age group before announcing the Association of the Tournament Champion. The prestigious honour will be awarded to the Association with the highest average Championship points accumulated across all of its participating teams.
