Mountain Majik And UTS Northside Set For Winter Futsal League Grand Final Showdown

The stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the Winter Futsal League Men’s competition, with Mountain Majik and UTS Northside preparing to battle for championship glory at the Home of Futsal, Valentine Sports Park this Sunday night.

The Grand Final will kick off at 7:30pm on July 19, with both sides earning their place in the decider after impressive semi-final performances in a thrilling finals series.

Mountain Majik booked their place in the final after producing a stunning upset against undefeated Cup champions Mascot Vipers.

The Vipers started strongly and took an early lead, but Majik showed tremendous character to fight back and mount a late comeback. Despite Mascot pushing until the final siren, Majik held their nerve to secure a dramatic 7-6 victory and progress to the Grand Final.

In the other semi-final, second-placed North Sydney Futsal Club faced third-placed UTS Northside in another high-quality contest.

A lapse in concentration proved costly for North Sydney, with UTS Northside capitalising on a quick run of goals to take control of the match. North Sydney pushed forward in search of a comeback, but UTS showed their experience and composure, managing the game effectively and using their substitutes well to close out an impressive 8-4 victory.

The result sets up a mouth-watering Grand Final between two sides with plenty of attacking quality and experience.

The last meeting between the two teams came in Round 1, with Mountain Majik claiming a 4-2 victory after two late goals proved the difference between the sides.

Majik will look to young star Zayne Alameddine to continue his impressive form, with the talented attacker combining physicality, creativity and a keen eye for goal throughout the competition. Jordan Guerreiro and Robson de Souza have also played key roles, providing goals, experience and leadership as Majik prepare for the biggest game of the season.

For UTS Northside, attacking threat Hemi Innes will be one to watch in front of goal, while experienced campaigner Nathan Amore enters the final in strong form after scoring a hat-trick in the semi-final victory over North Sydney. Young gun Luke Moscos will also be expected to play an important role as Northside chase championship success.

With both teams boasting attacking firepower and proven match-winners, the Winter Futsal League Men’s Grand Final promises to be an exciting showcase of futsal.
