Round 24 Review – League Two Men’s

Mounties Wanderers FC were crowned 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s Premiers following a dominant display in a massive weekend of action in Round 24.

Mounties secured the league title in style in the Match of the Round, hitting Gladesville Ryde Magic for six to kick off their celebrations.

Match of the Round: Gladesville Ryde Magic 1-6 Mounties Wanderers FC

Mounties Wanderers FC stormed home in the second half to secure the league title and promotion to the League One Men’s competition for 2027 in a 6-1 away win over Gladesville Ryde Magic.

Patrick Antelmi started the scoring for Mounties, rising highest from a corner in the 34^th minute, but the match was 1-1 at half-time when Daniel Mahoney equalised for Gladesville in the 38^th minute.

Mounties wasted no time getting back in front at the start of the second half, however, running on the end of a clever backheel pass from Antelmi and slotting the ball home at the near post to give Mounties a 2-1 lead.

Antelmi all-but sealed promotion for Mounties with another goal in the 61^st minute, this one in a one-on-one with Gladesville goalkeeper Robert D’Angelo.

Celebrations kicked off early when Antelmi completed his hat-trick in the 73^rd minute, his 29^th goal of the season coming off another clinical finish in the box to give Mounties a 4-1 lead.

Rickson Odisho came off the bench and made a positive impact, getting in behind and slotting the ball home low in the 87^th minute for a 5-1 lead.

The 6-1 win was rounded out in the 90^th minute by Josh Symons, who headed the ball home to seal the league title and promotion for Mounties in style.

The win for Mounties saw the newly-crowned champions move to an unassailable 20-point lead atop the ladder on 59 points, winning the league with six rounds to play.

The loss for Gladesville, meanwhile, saw them remain in 13^th place.

Nepean FC 4-5 Fraser Park FC

Ten-man Fraser Park FC survived one of the biggest comebacks in the league’s history to earn a massive 5-4 away win over Nepean FC in their hunt for promotion.

Fraser Park’s leading goal scorer this season, Francis Mcalpine scored a double within five minutes in the 17^th and 22^nd minutes, respectively, the first a close-range finish off a cutback and the second finding the top corner.

The away side had a 4-0 lead at half time when Michael Trajkovski got on the end of a Mcapline ball in the 34^th minute, before Mason Fernandez was also set up by Mcalpine for a finish a minute later.

The match turned in the second half when Gregory Ehiozee was shown a second yellow card for Fraser Park in the 46^th minute, Nepean capitalising with an own goal from George Grillakis in the 53^rd minute and a header from Luke Williams three minutes later to reduce the deficit to two goals.

Williams had a double on the hour mark when he capitalised on a goalkeeping error, before Addison Abdallah completed the comeback to make the scoreline read 4-4 in the 78^th minute, tapping the ball home off a cross at the far post.

Fraser Park survived the scare and secured the 5-4 win in the 88^th minute through debutant James Andrianakos, who slotted the ball home from the penalty spot after Benjamin Astudillo was fouled in the box.

The loss for Nepean saw them remain in 11^th, while the win for Fraser Park kept them in 3^rd, three points behind 2^nd-placed Parramatta FC.

South Coast Flame FC 0-0 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC

A big result in the fight for promotion saw Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC held away to South Coast Flame FC in a goalless draw.

Bonnyrigg had the bulk of possession in the first half, their best chance coming in the 20^th minute when Daniel Bittar forced Flame goalkeeper Nenad Vekic into a save from a long-range effort.

The Flame had chances to start the second half through Jordan Roberts and Lawrence Claxton, but both players shot wide.

In the end, neither team was able to find the decisive moment, the match ending in a 0-0 draw, the result hurting both sides’ chances at promotion.

The result for the Flame saw them drop from 8^th to 9^th, while the point for Bonnyrigg saw them drop from 3^rd to 4^th and fall to three points behind 2^nd-placed Parramatta FC.

Central Coast United FC 3-1 Bankstown United FC

Central Coast United FC got their promotion hopes back on track with a big 3-1 home win over Bankstown United FC.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Jay Goodwin played Jay Swadling in behind, the latter bending the ball into the far corner to give Central Coast a 1-0 lead.

Goodwin was the provider once more in the 16^th minute when he delivered the ball off a set piece to Conner Gallen, who tapped the ball home for a 2-0 lead.

Goodwin completed his hat-trick of assists in the 20^th minute when he played a ball in behind for Zac Pezzutto, who slotted the ball home from inside the box to give Central Coast a 3-0 lead.

Bankstown scored a late consolation goal in the 63^rd minute when Mitchell Edmunds found the back of the net from 35 yards, Central Coast running out 3-1 winners.

The win for Central Coast saw them rise from 10^th to 7^th on the ladder on 32 points, seven points behind 2^nd-placed Parramatta FC, while the loss for Bankstown saw them remain in 14^th.

Inner West Hawks FC 2-4 Parramatta FC

Parramatta FC came from behind and survived a comeback to secure a big 4-2 win over Inner West Hawks FC in their fight for promotion.

Peter Phillips gave the Hawks the early lead in the 5^th minute when he sent a shot into the back of the net from 30 yards, before Parramatta restored parity in the 22^nd minute through Darragh Raynor, who got on the end of an Ali Chamsin pass and slotted the ball home on the second attempt off the post.

Chamsin went from provider to scorer in the 51^st minute when he headed home off second phase play from a corner, but the Hawks struck back five minutes later when Matthew Morris found the back of the net from 18 yards to level the match at 2-2.

Marco Sama scored his 17^th goal of the season for Parramatta on the hour mark off a corner to give them the lead back, before Dean O’Donnell scored at the far post in the 67^th minute to mark his return to the squad, Parramatta running out 4-2 winners.

The loss for Inner West saw them remain in 12^th, while the win for Parramatta saw them maintain that crucial 2^nd spot on 39 points, three head of the chasing pack.

Camden Tigers FC 1-3 Sydney University SFC

Sydney University SFC continued their strong form and gave their promotion hopes another boost after a 3-1 away win over Camden Tigers FC.

University broke the deadlock in the 30^th minute when Isaac Folkes dispatched a penalty before they doubled their lead in the 57^th minute through Junaid Codmani, who scored off a long-range strike.

Folkes scored his 13^th goal of the season in the 69^th minute off a volley off a corner to all-but seal the win for the visitors.

Camden scored a late consolation from the penalty spot, Dean Mugridge slotting the ball home in the 87^th minute, but University ran out 3-1 winners.

The loss for Camden was their third in a row as they remained in 15^th, while the win for University saw them rise from 7^th to 5^th, five points behind 2^nd-placed Parramatta FC.

Granville Rage vs Hawkesbury City FC was washed out and will be played at a later date.
