Round 26 brings down the curtain on the Football NSW League One Women’s regular season, with teams looking to either finish their campaign on a high or gear themselves up for the semi-finals next weekend.

There are six games to run the rule over this weekend, including the Match of the Round between Marconi Stallions FC and Blacktown Spartans FC.

Let’s get onto the preview!

Match of the Round: Marconi Stallions FC vs Blacktown Spartans FC

Sunday 23 August, 5pm – Marconi Stadium #2

Marconi Stallions FC take on Blacktown Spartans FC at Marconi Stadium #2 on Sunday evening.

The Stallions were held to a 2-2 draw against Camden Tigers FC at Ron Dine Reserve last Sunday.

Pene Bonovas scored a brace in the result and has been a vital cog in the Marconi attack heading into the finals.

Alongside her, Marie Herrera has been an unsung hero for this Stallions side, with her work at both ends of the pitch set to be important again in this clash.

Blacktown Spartans FC lost 4-0 to Premiers SD Raiders FC in the Match of the Round at Blacktown Football Park.

Despite the loss, Rita Boateng and Gemma Woolley were bright up front, and both attackers will want to finish the regular season with a strong performance.

Finals might be out of reach for the Spartans, but the side can still secure a top-half finish and has built a solid platform for the future.

This game will be streamed LIVE on the Football NSW YouTube channel, with Cody Odeja behind the microphone for the clash.

South Coast Flame FC vs Camden Tigers FC

Saturday 22 August, 2pm – Sir Ian McLennan Park

South Coast Flame FC welcome Camden Tigers FC to Sir Ian McLennan Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Flame were 1-0 winners against St George FC in their clash at Barton Park last Sunday afternoon.

2026 signing Amanda Radmilo has given the Flame some extra grunt this season and will cover every inch of the pitch on Saturday.

A win for the Flame, combined with the Stallions failing to take maximum points, could see them move into second spot and host a semi-final.

Camden Tigers FC played out a 2-2 draw against Marconi Stallions FC at Ron Dine Reserve last weekend.

Charlotte Greaney added another goal to her tally in the score draw and will be hoping to double her delight on Saturday.

The Tigers have proved a thorn in the side of the top-four teams this season and might take one final scalp before the end of the regular season.

Bankstown City Lions FC vs St George FC

Sunday 23 August, 4:30pm – Jensen Park

Bankstown City Lions FC face off against St George FC at Jensen Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions went down to a tense 1-0 loss against Blacktown City FC in a game also played at Jensen Park last weekend.

Hannah Al Koudmani has been a bright spark since coming into the First Grade side in the second half of the season, and the Lions will be looking for one more moment from her in front of the home faithful.

Goalkeeper Natalie Milenkovski has done a solid job between the sticks for Bankstown City Lions FC and will be kept busy against St George in this game.

St George FC lost 1-0 to finals-chasing South Coast Flame FC in their clash at Barton Park last Sunday.

Normally leading the line, Jordan Baker showed off her range of skills by deputising in goal for St George in the game.

Tayla Cvetkovski has been the metronome in the middle of the park for the Saints and will look to pull the strings again on Sunday.

Blacktown City FC vs Central Coast Mariners FC

Sunday 23 August, 5pm – Landen Stadium

Blacktown City FC take on Central Coast Mariners FC at Landen Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts won 1-0 against Bankstown City Lions FC in their travels to Jensen Park last Sunday afternoon.

Layla Hamdan was the lone goalscorer in the win and will be looking to add to her tally of eight goals this season and sign off in style.

They will look to finish the season with back-to-back wins and lean on Rhea D’Mello and Ana-Liese Lobos to push them forward.

Central Coast Mariners FC won 2-0 against Inter Lions FC in their final home game of the season at Pluim Park.

Lilly Quayle came off the bench to score the opener in that result and gives the coaching staff another option late in games.

Three points for the Mariners would see them lift themselves off the bottom of the League One Women’s ladder, giving them plenty of motivation heading into the final round.

Newcastle Jets FC vs SD Raiders FC

Sunday 23 August, 5pm – Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility

Newcastle Jets FC host SD Raiders FC at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Sunday afternoon.

Sharpshooter Mackenzie Preston-Poole has been in great form and will be ready to add to her highlight reel at home.

After a few weeks out, Ally Boertje returned between the sticks in Round 24 and will be called upon if the Jets are to soar to victory.

SD Raiders FC kept the celebrations going with a 4-0 win against Blacktown Spartans FC in the Match of the Round.

Aoife Horgan took the headlines with her stunning hat-trick and once again showcased the array of attacking talent within the SD Raiders line-up.

Both Sarah Mandile and Madeleine Malone were in the starting side for the huge win and put in two big performances for the Premiers.

The Raiders will be looking to finish the regular season strongly despite already having secured the Premiership.

Inter Lions FC vs Sutherland Strikers FC

Sunday 23 August, 5pm – Majors Bay Reserve

Inter Lions FC take on Sutherland Strikers FC at Majors Bay Reserve on Sunday evening.

The Lions suffered a 2-0 defeat to Central Coast Mariners FC in their trip to Pluim Park last weekend.

Youngster Alyssa Walsh has given Inter Lions an extra dash of pace up front and will look to give the Strikers defence plenty of headaches on Sunday.

Coach John Di Biase will want his side to finish the season on a high, and if Hannah Charak can find the back of the net, it will go a long way towards achieving that.

Sutherland Strikers FC had their finals hopes dashed after being held to a 1-1 draw against Nepean FC at Harrie Dening Centre.

Lili Rosandic has featured heavily for Sutherland this season after moving further upfield and will look to finish the campaign with a flurry on Sunday.

The Strikers might not make the top four, but they have enjoyed an improved season, helped by the form of Olivia Lysiak and Ella Munro.

Nepean FC have the bye.
