Every Beat Matters Raffle Extended
Football NSW has extended the Every Beat Matters fundraising raffle, giving the football community another opportunity to help ensure clubs across the state have access to potentially life-saving defibrillators.
With tickets priced at just $5, every contribution helps Football NSW work towards its goal of putting defibrillators into clubs across its entire footprint, while also supporting ongoing maintenance and the development of a statewide register.
The raffle’s major prize is a Toyota Corolla ZR Hatch valued at $44,735, with additional fuel cards and first aid kits also up for grabs.
Most importantly, however, the campaign is about helping clubs be prepared when an emergency strikes.
A sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and at any time, including on a football field. In Australia, more than 32,000 people experience cardiac arrest outside hospital each year, with only around one in 10 surviving. However, when CPR is performed and an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used within the first three to five minutes, survival rates can increase to 60–70 per cent.
That is why having an AED accessible at a football ground and knowing where it is can make such a significant difference.
Football NSW’s Every Beat Matters campaign is designed to help clubs that do not currently have access to a defibrillator, with priority given to clubs without existing equipment, regional communities and lower socio-economic areas.
The funds raised will also support the ongoing maintenance of equipment, including replacement pads, batteries and servicing, ensuring defibrillators remain ready to use rather than simply being installed and forgotten.

If your club does not currently have a defibrillator, Football NSW is encouraging clubs to apply to potentially benefit from the raffle proceeds.
Apply for a Football NSW defibrillator
Clubs that already have a defibrillator are also encouraged to register their device. Having accurate information about where AEDs are located allows first responders to identify and access them as quickly as possible during an emergency.

Football NSW is working towards establishing a register covering the organisation’s 636 clubs and 31 associations, creating a long-term system to track AED access and maintenance across the football community.

The Every Beat Matters raffle provides football participants and supporters with the opportunity to win while contributing to an important cause.
Tickets are just $5, with every ticket automatically entered into the major draw as well as eligible fortnightly prize draws.

The major draw will take place on Sunday, 13 September at 3:30pm, with the winner announced at half-time of the NPL Men’s NSW Grand Final at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium.
Football NSW is encouraging the entire football community to get behind the initiative — whether that means purchasing a $5 raffle ticket, ensuring your club’s AED is registered, or helping a club without one apply for support.
Because when a cardiac emergency happens, every second counts. The Heart Foundation says AEDs are designed to be used by anyone, with simple voice prompts guiding users through the process.
