Goalkeeper Coaching Courses
Foundations of Goalkeeping
Aimed at coaches, parents and volunteers who work with or intend to work with non professional goalkeepers of any age. The course modules focus on building goalkeeper knowledge while learning how to conduct basic practices that are engaging and inclusive.
This course is Football Australia’s first level of goalkeeper coaching accreditation and a prerequisite for the Goalkeeping B Diploma.
The Foundation of Goalkeeping qualification is valid for three (3) years and is subject to licence revalidation. Licence Revalidation | Play Football
Full attendance is required. Failure to attend the full course will result in registration being removed.

FA/AFC Goalkeeping B Diploma
This course is designed for the semi-professional goalkeeping coach and is suitable for goalkeeper coaches working within the National Premier Leagues or the elite development pathway.
The central component of the Goalkeeping B Diploma is developing goalkeeping skill sets through training and coaching that have real benefit in the modern game.
The Goalkeeping B Diploma maximises learning through tutor modelled practices and practical coaching opportunities. The main element of the required coaching competency on the Goalkeeping B Diploma is applying goalkeeper technical knowledge in a game like scenario.
The course also builds coaches understanding of concepts related to long term goalkeeping development and talent identification. This will enable coaches to provide more effective individualised support for the goalkeepers they work with in their club environment.
