17 Football NSW Officials selected for upcoming A-League Men and Women’s season
Football NSW will have as many as 17 officials selected and raring to go for this season’s A-League Men and A-League Women’s competitions.
In the A-League Men’s competition, Ben Abraham, Sam Kelly and Tim Danaskos have been selected as referees. NSW assistant referees include Brad Wright, Hugh-Fenton White, Kearney Robison and Matthew McOrist. Emma Kocbek and Maddy Allum will also join the ALM panel for the first time after their consistent appearances in the men’s competition during the 24/25 season, culminating with Kocbek’s appointment to the A-League Men’s 24/25 Grand Final.
In the A-League Women’s competition, Bec Mackie, Isabella Mossin, Mikayla Ryan and Molly Godsell are set to return to the competition as referees. Assistant referees include Alexis Turner, Amber Morris, Anastasia Filacouridis and Maggie Price.
Football Australia’s Head of Refereeing Jon Moss said: “After a record-breaking year for the A-Leagues, there is no doubt the contribution of Australian officials to these results continues to see them highly regarded in world football.
“These panels have a strong balance of established and emerging officials. Our program will continue to evolve from last season, seeking to elevate our standards to be at world-class levels and play our role in delivering a strong playing environment for what will be an even better season ahead for the A-Leagues.”
General Manager Elite Refereeing Alan Shortall added: “Having four debutants on the A-League Men’s Grand Final, including our first female assistant referee in Emma Kocbek shows our ethos of rewarding performance across a season.
“Adam Kersey and Izzy Cooper officiating their respective A-League Grand Finals as debutant referees, shows in all aspects our want to develop and select world class and high-performance officials.”
