The 2026 Winter Futsal League (WFL) is back, offering a competitive and structured platform for community and elite futsal players during the off-season. The league provides an excellent opportunity for player development and preparation ahead of the regular futsal season.

Men’s Competition

The Men’s Division will feature 12 clubs, with the season kicking off on Sunday, 15 March. Matches will take place at Valentine Sports Park and our affiliate venue, The Centre Dural.

Returning clubs include Dural Warriors, Sydney Allstars, Mountain Majik, Phoenix Futsal, and UTS Northside, while Eastern Suburbs Hakoah, Mascot Vipers, and Sydney Futsal join as new or returning entrants. The draw is completed by strong community sides Ararat FC, FC Kairat, North Sydney Futsal, and Riddwood Futsal, ensuring a competitive and diverse field.

Women’s Competition

The Women’s Division will feature six clubs, including Sydney Allstars, Mountain Majik, Mascot Vipers, and UTS Northside, with newcomers Dural Warriors and East Coast Bulls joining the competition. The women’s league is scheduled to commence on 11 April, with both men’s and women’s competitions concluding with their finals series in July.

Introducing the Winter Futsal Cup

New for 2026 is the Winter Futsal Cup, a thrilling cup-style format designed to test teams in high-pressure situations. Clubs will be divided into three groups of four, competing in a round-robin group stage before advancing to the finals to crown the champion.

“Feedback from players and clubs showed strong interest in a cup competition,” said Jordan Guerreiro, Football NSW Futsal Manager. “It’s a great way to drive the league forward while creating more high-pressure situations for teams to grow together.”

League Growth and Development

The continued success of the WFL highlights the strong engagement across the futsal community over the past six seasons.

“It’s exciting to deliver another season and see such enthusiasm from both elite and community clubs,” said Jordan Guerreiro, Football NSW Futsal Manager. “Clubs are finding new ways to engage their players and create opportunities for newcomers. Many squads are focusing on developing young talent to challenge their senior players, which is fantastic to see.”
