Rescheduled Tiger Turf Cup Preliminary fixtures set – Updated Scores
Out of the eight scheduled Preliminary matches, only four went ahead initially after the other four were washed out.
On Tuesday, Hakoah defeated Luddenham United 3-0 on Tuesday to advance to round 1 of the Tiger Turf Cup while State League Division Two side Prospect United defeated Ariana 6-2.
Wednesday evening saw Eastern Suburbs Association side Lokomotiv Cove defeat State League Two outfit Hawkesbury City 2-0.
Goals from James Koutsoumis and Derek Poimer gave the Cove victory which also saw ex-Queensland Roar skipper Chad Gibson and former Sydney United midfielder Paul Bilokapic star in the win.
In the evening’s other match, the lights went out at Lidcombe Oval during a penalty shoot-out between Gladesville Ryde Magic and Colo Colo Wanderers with Football NSW set to make a formal announcement on the match shortly.
Round 1 of the Tiger Turf Cup fixtures will be set out at Football NSW on Thursday with a full listing set to appear on the official website shortly.
