Premier Youth League Round 22 Review

As expected, there were a few ?shock? results and a number of changes to the look of the tables so let?s have a look at what happened.
Overview
Last week the top two clubs were locked together in the rankings but this week Marconi Stallions grabbed the lead on the final ranking for the season when they bagged thirteen points from their matches against tenth placed Sydney United 58. That was one point more than the Stallions had taken from the first round clash
Sutherland Sharks finished in second spot when they took twelve points from their visit to twelfth placed South Coast Wolves, repeating the outcome of the first round encounter.
Manly United finished in third place in the rankings despite the fact that they earned only four points from their visit to fourth placed Sydney Olympic. When they met last time Manly took eight points from the day.
Blacktown City finished in fifth position after they claimed nine points from their home matches against ninth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles. The first round points had been shared between the clubs at seven apiece.
Parramatta FC ended the competition ranked sixth thanks to the twelve points they pocketed from their home fixture against eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns from whom Parramatta had taken twelve of the first round points.
Blacktown Spartans completed the competition in eighth position after they split the spoils at seven points apiece with seventh placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers who had grabbed nine points from the first round encounter.
Grade 13
Sydney Olympic completed the competition as Premiers and they were six points clear of their nearest rivals after they were 1-0 winners over Manly United who have tumbled back two places to fourth. The teams had battled outs a scoreless first round draw.
Marconi Stallions climbed one place to finish third when they came up with a 2-0 win over Sydney United 58 who have slipped back two places to seventh. United had claimed the first round points with a 3-1 result.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers also moved up one place to third thanks to their 4-0 result over tenth placed Blacktown Spartans who had gone down 3-0 to the Tigers when they met in the first round.
Sutherland Sharks climbed one place to finish in fifth position when they posted a 1-0 result over thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves who the Sharks had beaten 3-1 the first time around.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles rose one place to sixth following their 2-1 success over eleventh placed Blacktown City who had suffered a 3-1 loss in the corresponding first round match.
Parramatta FC finished in ninth position thanks to their 1-0 victory over twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns, repeating the first round outcome when Parramatta won by exactly the same scoreline.
Grade 14
APIA Leichhardt Tigers finished the competition as Premiers and they were four points clear at the top of the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by seventh placed Blacktown Spartans who the Tigers had beaten 2-1 in the first round.
Sutherland Sharks finished second following their 1-0 victory over thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves who had suffered a 3-0 loss when they last saw the Sharks.
Third placed Marconi Stallions registered a 1-0 win over tenth placed Sydney United 58 who the Stallions had beaten with a 2-1 scoreline in the first round clash.
Parramatta FC finished up in fourth position after they were beaten 3-1 by Rockdale City Suns who have climbed one place to fifth position. The suns had also claimed the first round points when they were 2-0 winners.
Manly United tumbled back one place to sixth after they battled out a 1-1 draw with eighth placed Sydney Olympic who the sea-siders had beaten 1-0 when they met last time.
Ninth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles accounted for eleventh placed Blacktown City with a 2-1 result to square the account as Blacktown were 3-0 winners in the first round.
Grade 15

This week they accounted for eighth placed Sydney United 58 with a 2-0 scoreline to go with the 5-0 result the Stallions had posted in the first round clash.
Sydney Olympic finished in second spot following their 2-1 result over Manly United who have dropped back one place to end up at seventh. The teams had fought out a 1-1 draw when they met in the first round.
Third placed Parramatta FC produced a solid 4-0 win over twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns, repeating the first round outcome when Parramatta won by exactly the same score.
Blacktown City completed the competition in fourth place thanks to their 3-0victory over eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles. When they met in the first round the teams shared the spoils after their match finished in a scoreless draw.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers climbed one place to sixth with a 1-0 success over tenth placed Blacktown Spartans who the Tigers had defeated 2-0 last time the teams saw each other.
Grade 16
Blacktown City are the Premiers and they completed the competition ten points clear at the top of the table following their 2-0 victory over eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles who had taken the first round points with a 1-0 win.

Sutherland Sharks ended up as Premiers with a lead of nine points after they suffered their second loss of the season, this time going down 1-0 to South Coast Wolves who moved up one place to finish in eleventh position.
Second placed Blacktown City accounted for eighth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles with a 4-1 result and that completed the double for City as they were 1-0 winners in the first round.
Parramatta FC finished in third place following their 5-3 success over tenth placed Rockdale City Suns who had gone down 5-1 when they last faced Parramatta.
Fourth placed Manly United came up with a 1-0 victory over Sydney Olympic that have dropped back one place to end up seventh. Manly had taken the first round points with a 2-1 win.
