Boys Youth League Three
The Football NSW Boys Youth League Three is the third tier league of boys youth football in NSW.
Premiership
Boys Youth League Three consists of 17-teams but uses an 18-team fixture format. In most cases, this would mean a 34 round season, however due to scheduling limitations, the 2026 season will be reduced to 30 rounds. Upon completion a Championship Series will be run for each group.
Due to this, clubs will play either 28 or 29 matches, depending on whether they have one or two byes during the season.
Despite the shorter season, the competition will run as normal:
- A Premiership winner will be awarded in each age group.
- The Top 4 Finals Series will go ahead, including Grand Finals.
- Medals and trophies will still be awarded as usual.
How the ladder will work
To maintain competitive integrity, standings will be based on Points Per Game (PPG) rather than total points.
- PPG = Total Points ÷ Games Played
This ensures teams are ranked based on performance, even if they have played a different number of matches.
