About Female Football Week

Female Football Week is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the immense growth of women’s football at all levels of the game and acknowledge and promote the important role women play in developing football. In 2020 Female Football Week has at this stage been suspended until further notice due to the suspension of all football activities via COVID-19.

Further updates will be given to all following the May 31st deadline.

The objective of Female Football Week is to drive female participation at all levels of the game.

Throughout the week Football NSW and our Associations/Clubs will be actively involved in the delivery of female football events including:
· Female football festivals
· Female coaching and refereeing courses
· MiniRoos for Girls Kick-Off programs
· Westfield W-League and Westfield Matildas signing sessions

Kick On For Women

Football NSW are excited to announce Kick On for Women. An introductory football program focusing on fun, football and friendship. It is low-impact, football-based program providing physical and mental health benefits, social connectedness, alongside promotion of the benefits of engaging in team sport. The program provides 45-minute sessions that offer a more social and accessible version of football specifically modified for inactive women over the age of 16. The participants discover and learn the basic competencies in a relaxed, non-competitive setting.

If your Association or Club is interested in hosting a Kick On for Women program please complete the Kick On for Women
