The Referee Development Panel (RDP) is the recognition of outstanding branch referees. The RDP is the training ground for referees to further develop their skills on FNSW’s junior national premier league matches in order to progress through the refereeing pathways. RDP referees get access to experienced match officials (from the National Premier League, W-League and A-League) who provide match day coaching and training.
Who can join the RDP?
Referee branches nominate their exceptional match officials for selection to the RDP. Contact your local Branch if you’re interested in joining.
Football NSW runs fortnightly training sessions for the RDP. Training sessions include physical training, coaching drills, Laws of the Game discussions, video analysis and guest speakers from the W-League and A-League. Training sessions are conducted both online and in-person by referee coaches who currently officiate on the Women’s National Premier League and National Premier league competitions.
