Sutherland?s successful launch

The 2008 Johnny Warren Cup finalists revealed their entire youth set-up as each grades from the U13?s right up until the senior squad were presented to what was a healthy gathering of Sharks sponsors and supporters.
Sutherland Sharks? General Manager Bruce Spiteri was pretty pleased with the way things went on the evening.
?It was a great night where we had great support for all our grades.
?I believe that the club has stepped towards a new direction with a number of new initiatives that have been shown from our youth footballers right up to senior level so these are exciting times at the Sutherland Sharks.?
The Leader has once again rekindled its full support for the Sharks and stated that they will do what they can in promoting the football side as much as possible for season 2008 which was an exciting coup for the club.
Special guest on the evening was former Glasgow Rangers great and current Central Coast Mariners assistant coach Ian Ferguson.
Fergie, a close friend of new Sharks senior coach Brian ?Bomber? Brown, discussed his life as a footballer and how things were travelling with the Mariners only days from the A-League Grand Final against the Newcastle Jets.
?At such a busy time in Ian?s schedule, with the A-League final only a stone throw away, he made his presence felt and showed what a true professional he is,? Spiteri added on Ferguson?s appearance on the night.
With all senior players present, Brown was optimistic about the up and coming season in the TeleChoice Premier League and stated that it is set to be one of the closest competitions yet.
?I really and truly believe we are in for a pretty tight competition this season as a number of teams have recruited rather well during the off-season.
?Personally, I?ve been pleased with how things have gone for us so far and I?m sure the lads will put in a good show when we tackle the A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers this Saturday in the first match of the TeleChoice Premier League season.?
