TeleChoice Premier League dominates 442’s top ten
TeleChoice Premier League stars Robbie Cattanach (Manly), Matthew Nash (APIA Leichhardt), Shannon Cole (Sydney Olympic), Lachlan Cahill (Wollongong) and Tallan Martin (Marconi) made the list which was announced in this month’s FourFourTwo, on sale today.
FourFourTwo editor in chief Paul Hansford said the number of NSW players in the top 10 is indicative of the strength of the state’s competition.
?This list emphasises the importance of the state leagues in fostering football talent and creating Australia’s stars of tomorrow,? said Mr Hansford.
?Having tipped players like Roddy Vargas, Michael Zullo and Tahj Minniecon in the past, don’t bet against a few of these lads making it too. It seems A-League scouts will be paying particular attention the TeleChoice Premier League this year.?
The May issue of FourFourTwo, on sale April 2, also sees the introduction of a new state league section, featuring five pages of player and team profiles, rising stars and a game of the month.
?This gives our readers the chance to immerse themselves in grass roots football and the stars of the future,? said Mr Hansford.
?The success of state league products such as Sasa Ognenovski and Mile Jedinak has really shone a light on its importance on the Australian football landscape. We’re very excited about increasing our coverage of such high quality football.?
The May issue of Australian FourFourTwo is out now and is available at all good newsagents as well as selected Coles Express, 7Eleven and Woolworths.
