Central United take out Manchester United Premier Cup

With both side?s finishing the match at 1-1, Central United held their nerves in the shoot-out where they won the right, for the second year in a row, to represent the Pacific in the World Finals in Manchester in August.
Sporting giants Nike held the prestigious Pacific finals tournament of the Manchester United Premier Cup at Bulleen?s Veneto Club for the fourth year and from all reports was staged very professionally.
In excellent conditions for football, the cream of the crop in the U15?s category pitted clubs such as Central United (New Zealand), Marconi Stallions (NSW), Newcastle FC (NNSW) and Altona Magic (VIC).  
NSW?s representatives the Marconi Stallions ended up taking third place in the tournament after Tom McCulloch?s men defeated Victorian side Altona Magic 5-3 on penalties after the game finished at 1-1.
