Goodwill Ambassadors support the hospital in so many ways.
They attend functions which raise money for the Hospital like balls and dinners, and speak at major Hospital events – and they visit patients at the hospital too.
One such Goodwill Ambassador is Tony Popovic- and the West Sydney Berries are delighted to announce that Tony will also be attending the Berries 4 Kids Charity on Friday 23rd May at the Bankstown Sports Club.
Tony Popovic is currently the Captain of Sydney FC and has had a very successful career having appeared in 54 games for the Socceroos. Tony was a member of the 2006 World Cup Squad and in his sporting career he has scored eight goals for his country.
Tony is the proud father of two boys and was inspired to become a Goodwill Ambassador when he visited the Hospital with Sydney FC in 2007.
Tony is the most recent Goodwill Ambassador and made his debut on camera alongside fellow Goodwill Ambassador Steve Jacobs during the Bandaged Bear Day Appeal in March 2008.
?We are delighted to have such a wonderful person within the football family take time out to be a part of our very special charity in aid of the Children?s Hospital at Westmead?, said Berries Chief Executive Laki Konistis.
