An official draw took place at Football NSW headquarters on Tuesday regarding two Category A tickets for the Socceroos? friendly clash against Ghana at the SFS on May 23rd and two Category A tickets for the Socceroos? World Cup Qualifying match against China at the ANZ Stadium on June 22nd.
Football NSW?s Executive Manager, Commercial Services Tony Peters drew out two lucky names from a host of entries that answered the question correctly that Everton star midfielder Tim Cahill was of course the Socceroo star who officially wears the number 4 jersey.
Taking out the tickets for the World Cup qualifying match against China was Narara based resident Ilorna Simpson, who was delighted to have won the special prize.
The avid Central Coast Mariners fan has been associated with the round ball game for quite some time now and is currently the Club Secretary at Gosford City in the local Central Coast Association.
Meanwhile Frank Nesci, a well known Sydney FC supporter, was over the moon upon hearing the news that he had scored himself two tickets for the Socceroos? friendly clash against Ghana.
The life-long supporter of football, Nesci has had a passion for the game and the national team spanning 28 years when he first saw the Socceroos in take part in a friendly match against Italian giants AC Milan a the Sydney Sports Ground.
Nesci also made the memorable trek to Germany in 2006 where he followed the Socceroos? fortunes during the World Cup.
