Inter Lions just keep on roaring on top of the Division One competition, once again showing their never-say-die attitude by coming from behind to snatch an away victory against old nemesis, Schofield Scorpions.
The Scorpions lead 2-0 early, and 3-2 midway through the second half, before succumbing to the Lions late in the match.
Farac gave the home side, Schofield, a dream start with a goal after 10 minutes, and Popovic grabbed their second on 21 minutes.
Skufris pulled one back for Inter just twelve minutes before the break, setting the scene for an exciting second period .
Sansone then scored Inter?s first equalizer after 63 minutes, before Eddy restored the home side?s lead barely a minute later.
But the visitors were not to be denied, Panuccio equalizing on 66 minutes, before that man again, Paras, who has made a habit of scoring late goals, popped up with the winner for Inter Lions just five minutes before the end.
Spirit FC remain in touch, and also undefeated, with a comfortable 4-1 home win vs UNSW.
A blistering opening half hour produced three goals for the home side, with Simpson grabbing two (13? & 23?) and Cunningham the other on 28 minutes.
Ikeda pulled one back for UNSW after 65 minutes, before Simpson grabbed his hatrick, and Spirit?s fourth goal, in the 75th minute.
All eyes next week will be at Christie Park, Saturday night at 7-30pm, as the top two sides, Inter Lions and Spirit FC, both undefeated, do battle in what promises to be a cracker of a match.
