Now, he’s back home and with a new club – Sydney FC. John’s been busy in the off-season as the Georges River Football Club in Sydney recently found out!!

THE “OTHER” FA CUP FINAL: It’s the Cup competition the rest of world football has followed and last weekend EPL side Portsmouth defeated League Championship side Cardiff City in the FA Cup final at Wembley. In Australia, it wasn’t anywhere near as big but there was plenty to enjoy about the “other” FA Cup final between the Down Under Supporters Clubs from Portsmouth and Cardiff.
JESS BAYLEY: Women’s football is one of the fastest growing sports and in the refereeing ranks there’s also been an increase in female numbers. Jess plays for Heathcote in the morning and then blows the whistle in the afternoon in the Sutherland competition – Australia’s biggest junior Association.
