Berries 4 Kids Charity raises over $30,000 for the Children?s Hospital at Westmead

A wonderful fundraising evening was held at the Bankstown Sports Club last Friday evening which was attended by over 350 guests including the NSW Attorney General and Minister of Justice Mr. John Hatzistergos, the Mayor of Bankstown Ms. Tania Mihailuk, the CEO of the Children?s Hospital Dr. Antonio Penna, the hospital?s Goodwill Ambassador and former Socceroo Mr. Tony Popovic, the Board of Directors of Bankstown Sports Club as well as the Board of Football NSW.
The ?Berries 4 Kids? Committee comprising of CEO Laki Konistis, Nickolas Varavaris, Chris Mitrothanasis, George Ronis and Costa Fousteris will be visiting the hospital in the coming weeks to hand over the final cheque to the hospital.
The Children?s Hospital at Westmead is a world leader in providing the best possible care for over 50,000 children and their families each year. Most of the state?s sickest children are treated at the Hospital, including those with severe burns, cancer or those requiring life-saving transplant surgery.
Research is seen as vitally important, with over 120 staff dedicated to finding the causes and cures of childhood illnesses through a range of ground-breaking research projects.

This unique blend of care and research is set within an environment where fun and laughter line the road to recovery.

The ?Berries 4 Kids? Charity has played its part in supporting the important work of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
