Demons take on Sydney FC in friendly clash

This is the first official hit-out for Sydney FC in preparation for the 2008-09 season and there is a bit of a twist to the story for this match as it will be part of the Fox8 reality programme ?Football Superstar? which airs on Thursdays at 7.30pm.
This programme features fifteen young hopeful players from whom one will be offered a playing contract with Sydney FC.
On the night the final three contestants will actually play for the Demons against Sydney FC and they are bound to put on quite a show as they will all be vying for that coveted contract position.
It is hoped that the match will attract a huge crowd of local football supporters who are keen to see Sydney FC in action and who are also wanting to be a part of this exciting new concept in television.
Of course, the Demons will also be fielding the six Blacktown City Demons youngsters who are currently trialing with Sydney FC for positions in the National Youth League squad.
Admission to the match will be $5.00 for adults and children under 16 who wear their local club?s colours on the night will be admitted free of charge.
