Friendship Games set for Grand Finale

With the closing ceremony of the 2008 Friendship Games taking place at VSP from 3pm on Field 2, all state squads from the U13 Boys and U14 Girls will be present amongst the many family and friends who travelled from across Australia to be part of this momentous tournament.
Football NSW Board members, Ross Kelly and George Jackson will be presenting various awards on the day.
Ross Kelly will be presenting the Friendship Games medals to all teams who participated in the tournament which included:
Boys:
NSW Metro Boys
NSW Country Boys
VIC Metro Boys
VIC Country Boys
SA Red Boys
SA Blue Boys
CFA Helix
Girls:
NSW Metro Girls
NSW Country Girls
VIC Metro Girls
VIC Country Girls
SAWSA
While George Jackson will be presenting the Select 11 certificates.
The Friendship Games Select 11 will be determined on a 3, 2,1 points basis.
Each team will be provided with Select 11 nomination slips that need to be filled out at the completion of each game.
Team officials will need to nominate players from the opposing team only.
All votes will be tallied and the players with the most points in each position will be the ?Select 11?.  
The ?Select 11? will comprise 1 Goal Keeper, 4 Defenders, 4 Midfielders, and 2 Forwards.
Should a draw between players occur, officials will vote again for the respective position via anonymous ballot.
Football NSW wishes to acknowledge and thank all who attended the 2008 Friendship Games as well as the volunteers and look forward to seeing more talented footballers in next year?s tournament.
