Kincumber PS Under 10?s crowned NSW Futsal State Champions
STATE FUTSAL WINNERS
On Tuesday 24th June Kincumber Primary School Under 10?s Futsal team competed at Penrith Sports Complex for the State Futsal Championships.
It was a really exciting day with fantastic football skills displayed by the team . The team consisted of Darcy Dunlop (keeper) Zak Belkadi, Bilal Belkadi, Dylan Booth, Ayden Warren, Nicholas Duell-Ferguson, William Cullen, Clancy Beckers and Keiran Richardson. The super-coach was Zoheir Belkadi and accompanying teacher Craig Houghton.
The grand final was against Claremont College, where Kincumber were down 1-0 until Zak Belkadi scored the equalizer before the last 2 minutes of the game . At this point defenders Bilal, Ayden, Dylan and Nicholas worked extremely hard to maintain the field. The game then went to 5 minutes extra time where the score remained 1-1.
Excitement took over when the referee decided the winner would be determined by Penalty shoot outs. With fantastic goal keeping by Darcy where he saved 2 penalties. Goals were scored by Bilal, Dylan, Zak and William.
Kincumber Under 10?s were crowned winners.
Football NSW congratulates both sides on a tremendous achievement and look forward to seeing both sides competing next year.
