Super League Elimination Semi-Final FS Garside Park
The inspection noted that the playing pitch had been overused during the season and the club had compounded this problem by permitting its teams to train on the facility. However, this is not an uncommon problem with the majority of football venues being utilised within the Super League and Division 1 State League competitions.
Granville Rage FC had taken action based upon the observations made by Football NSW earlier in the week regarding certain aspects of the facilities at FS Garside Park. Among those were the replacement of globes in the floodlights, the installation of a proper ticket box, the replacement of broken tiles in the shower facilities in the away change room. Additionally, Granville Rage FC has made arrangements for a proper physio table.
The Granville Rage FC club has also provided additional seating in the away change room.
On balance Football NSW has decided to permit the use of FS Garside Park for the following matches this weekend.

Football NSW has advised Parramatta City council and Granville Rage FC that FS Garside Park will not be sanctioned for Football NSW fixtures in 2009 until such time as the new amenities facilities which have been drawn up and tenders called for construction are completed. This advice was conveyed to both the club and to Parramatta City council earlier this month.
FS Garside Park has a rich tapestry within the history of football and Football NSW looks forward to the venue being upgraded to reflect the requirements of a proper sporting complex with modern facilities.
