TELECHOICE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: It’s the Preliminary Final of the NSW Premier League with the Minor Premiers SUTHERLAND SHARKS facing SYDNEY OLYMPIC, who won the pre-season JOHNNY WARREN CUP and were runners-up in the TIGER TURF CUP. The SHARKS are the Minor Premiers and had an unbeaten league record against Milan Blagojevic’s team.
McDONALDS SCHOLARSHIPS: For the past three years McDonalds has combined with Football NSW to provde a special scholarship program as part of the “Keep Kicking” motto. 32 junior players from NSW are each the lucky recipients of a $500 grant to assist them with their development while over 4,000 Football Star Awards have will also be handed out.
CHERYL SALISBURY: She is a record breaker of the the most unique kind! Matildas captain Cheryl Salisbury has made 150 appearances for Australia and scored 37 goals – more than any other female or male player. Along the way, Cheryl has played in four World Cup Tournaments, two Olympic Games and has been selected in two FIFA World XI teams!!
FUTSAL FEVER: It’s the Mens Grand Final from the NSW Premier League as the SYDNEY CITY EAGLES met SYDNEY MAGIC in a six-goal thriller!! Amongst the crowd at the Menai Indoor Centre was Sydney FC star ALEX BROSQUE.
