Metropolitan Representative League Grand Finals 2008 Preview

St George Association v Ku Ring Gai Association

St George and Ku Ring Gai will this Sunday do battle for Championship honors after a very exciting finals Series of the Metropolitan Representative league. 
St George finished 2^nd in the competition this season and won their place as the first team into the Grand Final with a great 2-1 victory over Premiers Ku Ring Gai in the Major Semi Final.  They also beat Sutherland the week before in the Preliminary Semi Final.
Ku Ring Gai finished Premiers atop the table and won their way to the Grand Final following a hard fought win in the Elimination Final over Blacktown 2-1 after being defeated by St George 2-1 in the Major Semi Final.

Eastern Suburbs Association v Manly-Warringah Association

In the Grade 12 Competition we will see Eastern Suburbs facing Manly-Warringah to decide the title of Championship Premiers.  Eastern Suburbs, after finishing 2^nd in the competition were first team into the Grand Final after a nail biting win over Premiers Sutherland in the Major Semi Final. 
Eastern Suburbs beat Sutherland on penalties 5-4 after being locked at 1-1 after normal and extra time.  They had previously beaten Manly-Warringah 4-1 in the Preliminary Semi Final.
Manly-Warringah finished 3^rd in the competition and have earned their place in the Grand Final after a magnificent win over Premiers Sutherland 2-0 in the Elimination Final. 
This great victory came after beating Granville 2-1 in the Elimination Semi Final and losing to Eastern Suburbs 4-1 in the Major Semi Final.
