FC Bossy Liverpool outshine Rockdale City in 3-1 victory

The victory now sets up a tough Preliminary Final against Minor Premiers Bonnyrigg White Eagles next weekend for a place in the Grand Final showdown against PCYC Parramatta Eagles.
It was a solid opening by the visitors, Rockdale looking sharp with a quick passing game causing some difficulty for the Liverpool defence inside their own box, and it proved costly in the 5? minute when Goce Trposki latched onto the ball inside a scrambled penalty-area to give the visitors the upper-hand early on.
However, despite scoring first, Rockdale began to lose possession allowing Bossy back in the game. Alex Canak, Sam Mort and Sam Awad by far were the best players throughout the whole game. There was some good passing and rapid ball movement allowing Mort space down the left on numerous occasions.
It proved costly for the visitors in the 26? minute as Awad latched onto the perfect ball from a corner giving his side the equaliser and momentum. From this point of the game Liverpool began to play good football as Rockdale?s defence was looking very shaky.
The second-half got worse for the visitors in the 47? minute as Awad again latched onto a well taken corner; this time giving his side the upper-hand, from there on the team kept moving the ball nicely, threatening to add to their lead.
The home side were outplaying their opponents and it showed again in the 52? minute when a well weighted cross by Mort found Awad again in the middle this time to nicely slot away for his hat-trick and a 3-1 lead in the game.
Rockdale had chances late on to reduce the deficit, however the day belonged to the home side, easily with one of the best performances of the year.  
Liverpool coach Mile Todorovski was very pleased with his side?s performance stating that his side played quality football throughout the whole game:
?Today I was very pleased with our performance, we conceded early but I knew when we started to move the ball around and create chances that we were always going to score.
?The courage we show week-in week-out will help us perform better against teams such as Bonnyrigg who we play next week.
?I think the best thing we can do is go out there and give it our best, with confidence rising after today I feel that next week we will be prepared for any  tough challenge.?
