The academy, run by former NSL player and Argentinean international, Hector Martinez has been recognised by the club as a preferred junior academy, helping to create a pathway that could lead Sydney?s rising stars all the way to the top.
?This agreement with Sydney FC is immensely exciting because we will be helping to create future generations of Australian players to wear the now famous blue uniform of Sydney, and to represent Australia at World Cup level,? said Martinez.
The partnership with the Bondi Academy expands Sydney FC?s presence in the wider football community, and the club is confident the arrangement will help raise the standard of the game in Australia?s largest city.
?One of our most important aims as a club is to engage with all levels of the local football fraternity,? said Sydney CEO, Stefan Kamasz.  ?This agreement not only strengthens our ties in the community but also gives us an opportunity to help guide the next generation of players from suburban fields across Sydney all the way to the elite level.?
Last Saturday some of the Bondi Football Academy?s students had the chance to show their skills in front of a  big crowd at the SFS, when Sydney FC took on Adelaide United in round 5 of the Hyundai A-League.
