Country Teams Alive in Champion of Champions

Illawarra Association are proving very strong with eleven teams still alive while Central Coast have eight teams vying for semi final positions. Not to be outdone, the Shoalhaven Association from Nowra are very proud to boast seven teams still competiting in the Championships.
Albury – Wodonga Association are represented by their all conquering Grade 13 team. One most remarkable statistic is in the All Age Women, where we have only two Sydney teams in the final eight, with teams from Cootamundra, Griffith, Coffs Harbour, Shoalhaven, Central Coast and Wollongong. Truly remarkable and a vivid reminder of the growth in popularity of the womens game right across the entire State.
The Quarter Finals will be staged this weekend at many Sydney Metropolitan grounds while many teams will once again travel to centres such as the Central Coast, Illawarrra, Nowra, Wodonga, Cootamundra, Griffith and Coffs Harbour.
Coffs City United from Coffs Harbour are very well represented with their All Age Men and Womens teams competing this weekend for their place in the semis after very convincing wins in Round 2.
The first ever round for the new and exciting Over 45 category was played last weekend and we look forward to a full round of great games in the quarter finals this weekend when Shaolhaven Assoc. will host Winston Hills, Southern Districts Assn. will battle it out with Balmain, Cronulla RSL will play St George Assn. and Eastern Suburbs Assn. will host the Gladesville-Hornsby Assn.
